Terms & Conditions

Thank you for considering Oshi Florals for your flower preservation needs. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before placing your order. By placing an order with us, you signify your agreement to these terms and conditions.

1. Non-Refundable Deposit:
A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required upon reserving your spot for flower preservation services. This deposit secures your reservation and covers initial processing costs.

2. Payment and Balance:
Once your flowers have been dried and your designs created, you will receive your final invoice. The final invoice is due within 10 days of issue. Work cannot proceed until full payment is received. Non-payment or failure to respond may result in your order being cancelled and the deposit forfeited.

3. Communication / Non-Response:
Clients must respond to design approval emails within 7 days. Failure to respond may delay or cancel your order. Reminder: your deposit is not refundable.

4. Overdue invoices:
Invoices not paid by the due date may incur a late fee of $15 per week until full payment is received.

5. Non-Refundable Custom Artwork:
All pieces created by Oshi Florals are custom-made and, therefore, non-refundable. Due to the personalised nature of our artwork, we cannot accept returns. Please be advised that we are unable to accept any returns or offer refunds for changes to the preserved piece once it has been delivered or collected. We have no control over the environmental conditions in which the flowers were grown or handled prior to delivery, or in which the piece is kept after it leaves our studio, and therefore cannot guarantee its preservation. We encourage customers to handle their pieces with care and follow our recommended guidelines for storage and maintenance.

6. Drop-off Location:
Due to the fragility of flowers, we must arrange an in-person hand-over of your flowers. Prior to your wedding or event, we will arrange a suitable time to meet at our drop-off location. Alternatively, we may be able to collect from your home, wedding venue, or an alternative location within Perth, for an added travel fee, dependent on our availability. It may be a good idea to delegate the delivery of your wedding flowers to a reliable friend or relative.

7. Condition of Flowers:
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the flowers are hand-delivered to us in optimal condition. We cannot accept responsibility for deterioration or damage that occurs prior to delivery. We can only preserve flowers in the condition they are received. We advise against tossing your bouquet at your wedding as this may bruise the flowers and affect the quality of the preservation.

8. Drying Flowers:
Upon arrival, your bouquet will be carefully disassembled, cut, and placed into silica gel for preservation. As of January 2026, if possible, some of your small flowers or foliage may be pressed to appear alongside your three-dimensional flowers to add depth to your artwork.

Please be aware that we may not be able to dry all of the flowers from your bouquet. For very large bouquets, we will select the best flowers to ensure we have an adequate quantity to fulfil your order.

8a. Changes to your artwork:

As part of the preservation process, your flowers will undergo colour changes as moisture is extracted from the petals. Your flowers will continue to change colour over time. Here are some expected colour changes:

  • Reds may turn darker or burgundy.
  • Whites may darken to a cream, beige, yellow or brown hue.
  • Pinks may vary in shade, becoming darker or lighter depending on the variety.
  • Peach and coral tones may transition to a pinker shade.

Over time, all flowers could lose their colours completely – it is impossible for us to say how they will retain their colours over the years due to the vast variations such as the species of flower, the way they were grown, the way they were handled when fresh, and the conditions they are kept in at home.

Flowers are a natural, organic material and may carry or develop environmental or biological factors that are not visible at the time of drop-off, including (but not limited to) insects, larvae, mould, or natural deterioration. While Oshi Florals takes reasonable care and industry-standard precautions in handling, drying, and storing all flowers, we cannot guarantee that such factors will not occur.

By proceeding with your order, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved in preserving organic materials. Oshi Florals cannot be held responsible for changes or damage caused by environmental or biological factors that arise despite reasonable care being taken.

8b. Colour correction:

As of January 2026, all bouquets coming through our studio will be colour corrected as standard. Whilst we try our best to match the colour as closely as possible to your original bouquet, there may be some discrepancies. Please note we are unable to colour correct all flowers, for example, baby’s breath. If you do not want your flowers colour corrected, please state in writing at the time of booking.

8c. Disassembling flowers:

All flowers will be cut from their stems to ensure they dry properly. We do not dry stems unless otherwise asked. Please note that large flowers will be manipulated while they are fresh to fit into our shadow boxes. For example, large roses will be spread and flattened (not pressed), proteas will be cut in half lengthways and large spherical chrysanthemums will have their bottom petals removed.

9. Design:
Once your flowers are dried, we will create two different designs for you to choose from. If you do not like either design, we are able to create another design at an additional $25 per design. This additional fee is due to the timely process of designs.

10. Unused flowers

Please note that not all pieces may be large enough to accommodate all of your flowers. We will make every effort to include as many as possible. Any unused flowers will be disposed of.

11. Imperfections:
There may be imperfections in the handcrafted wooden frames and other aspects of your piece.

12. Storage and Handling of Resin and Shadow Boxes:
Resin – Your pieces should not be stored in direct light or near heat sources, as this may cause yellowing to the resin and fading of the flowers. Please be aware that flowers may change colour during the drying and resin pouring/curing processes. Additionally, colours may continue to change over time. The resin we use is not 100% scratch-resistant. All epoxy resin systems are a form of plastic, and plastics will scratch more with wear and tear. Refrain from putting hot drinks on coasters.

Shadow boxes – Your frame should be hung out of direct sunlight and kept away from humid areas like the bathroom. Likewise, do not keep your flowers wrapped up in storage as this can encourage humidity and heat in the shadow box. If over time any petals or leaves fall, the backing can be carefully removed to retrieve them. Once reassembled, it is advised to reseal the box using a strong framer’s tape. Our shadow boxes contain an Ultra-Clear, up to 70% UV-resistant glass that is anti-reflective and virtually invisible in most lights. We cannot accept responsibility for broken glass once the piece has been handed over.

12b. Force Majeure / Unforeseen Events

Oshi Florals will take reasonable care of all flowers and completed pieces while in our care. However, we cannot be held responsible for loss of or damage to flowers or finished artwork caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, water damage, power failure, extreme weather, natural disasters, theft, or other acts of nature or unforeseen circumstances.

13. Handmade Wooden Frames:
All wooden pieces are meticulously handcrafted in our studio. Please note that due to the handmade nature of our frames and coasters, there may be slight variations in the sizing and wood used. While we strive for absolute perfection, it is normal for handcrafted items to exhibit some discrepancies. We assure you that every effort is made to maintain the highest quality standards in our craftsmanship.

14a. Timeline and Delivery:
Please note that the preserving process, especially when using resin, is highly dependent on ideal weather conditions, so whilst we try our best to get your pieces back to you as quickly as possible, we are unwilling to compromise on quality and therefore aren’t able to give an exact timeline. As an estimate, you will receive your pieces back within 8 months of flower drop off. Once your pieces are finished, we will contact you to arrange a hand-over of your order.

14b. Transfer of Risk on Collection / Delivery

Responsibility for the artwork transfers to the client once the piece has been collected or delivered. Oshi Florals is not responsible for loss or damage after this point.

15. Gift Vouchers:
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months. They cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

16. Portfolio Use:
Oshi Florals may photograph or video your completed floral artwork for use in our portfolio, website, social media, marketing materials, or promotional purposes. By placing an order, you grant permission for these images to be used. If you prefer that your artwork or personal details not be shared publicly, please notify us in writing before your piece is delivered.

17. Abandoned Orders:
If a client fails to respond or collect their completed order within 30 days of notification, Oshi Florals reserves the right to dispose of or rehome the artwork. No refunds will be issued.

18. Limitation of Liability:
To the extent permitted by law, Oshi Florals’ liability for any claim arising from the provision of services or finished artwork is limited to the value of the services paid by the client. Oshi Florals is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including emotional distress or loss of sentimental value.

19. Variations to These Terms

Oshi Florals reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The terms applicable will be those in effect at the time of booking.

20. Jurisdiction / Dispute Resolution:
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia. Any disputes will be resolved under this jurisdiction.

By proceeding with your order, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions, and agree to abide by them. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
